Tour Orcas Island in a 1912 Stanley Steamer!
Come to beautiful Orcas Island and experience a scenic and historical tour in a 1912 Stanley Steamer Mountain Wagon, as it was done 100 years ago!
100 years ago, the Stanley Automobile Company developed the most powerful and dependable automobiles made in America. For many years, Washington’s mountains were home to a fleet of these machines.
Our tour begins at the Orcas Island Historical Museum in Eastsound. After embarking, you will travel back in time 100 years and journey along Enchanted Forest Road, past old homesteads, one-room school houses, 130-year-old fruit orchards, and along some of the most scenic waterfront roads in the San Juan Islands.
Many years ago, Lawrence Welk was asked the secret of his success. He said when he was playing at the state fairs in the 1940s, he always tried to give his audience a $5 concert for a $2 ticket. This is our commitment to you — an experience you will treasure for a lifetime!
Tours are Thursday through Sunday, with departures starting at 11:00 a.m. and continuing on the hour until 4:00 p.m. Up to 10 seats are available on every trip. The cost is $30 per person.
